Brighter future for Renfrewshire schools

OVERVIEW

Smart LED, a new energy efficient lighting system is reducing carbon emissions and improving functionality across the Renfrewshire schools’ estate, helping the Council meet its objective of maximising energy use.

BENEFITS

Rolled out across all ten public private partnership schools in Renfrewshire in 2022, the new system uses pioneering technology to deliver environmental benefits. It also improves the use of space in participating schools and reduces energy costs at a critical time.

Added benefits recognised by Amey’s partners at Renfrewshire Council include creating a safer, healthier and brighter environment for both staff and pupils.

This future-proofed system allows for additional functionality innovations such as occupancy detection and associated energy and cost savings.
